Conditions to apply for the BE HOME premium

The BE HOME premium is granted to holders of a real right to a property located in the Brussels-Capital Region, in which they are domiciled (articles 35 - 38 of the ordinance of 12 December 2016 on the second part of the tax reform).

Please note: before submitting your application, make sure that the premium has not already been deducted from your property tax.

How do I know if I am entitled to this premium?

To be entitled to the premium, you must meet the following conditions on January 1st of the current year:
  1. You are the addressee of the property tax bill for this property;
  2. You apply for the BE HOME premium within a period of 193 days from the date of sending the tax bill;
  3. You live in the property for which you are applying;
  4. You are the holder of a 'real right' (defined by the ordinance as: plein propriétaire/volle eigenaar, possesseur/bezitter, emphytéote/erfpachter, superficiaire/opstalhouder or usufruitier/vruchtgebruiker) over a property located in the Brussels-Capital Region and you are domiciled in this property.

Prime communale logement/Gemeentelijke huisvestingspremie

The granting of the BE HOME premium automatically entitles you to the prime communale logement/gemeentelijke huisvestingspremie, if this is managed by Brussels Fiscality.
